Exquisite Corpse
1. Head
2. Torso
3. Legs
Inspired by the Surrealist drawing game, Exquisite Corpse is a method by which a collection of words or images is collectively assembled. Each collaborator adds to a composition in sequence, either by following a rule or by being allowed to see only the end of what the previous person contributed.
The ART 366 class used the scans from the Original Copies project to construct the various corpses. Each person constructed a head, torso, and legs and was only allotted 5-7 minutes to create each section. After a section was created it was covered with the large sheet of paper so the next person could not see the previous design. The process repeats until a full corpse is created. Each corpse is created by 3 different students— below are the designs that I contributed to on the project.

Leg Design
This was the first design that I worked on. I quickly cut around the scanned heads and added on some bushy eyebrows to create the Corpse Head.
My favorite design from the project. I used a scanned image of a Ken Doll, drew some tattoos and muscles, and added embellishments with UNO Card numbers to create the Corpse Torso.
I used one of my own Tic Tac Toe scans as the base of the legs, added in some heeled boots, a Batman belt, and some stitched pockets to create the Corpse Legs.
